The Sculptor Galaxy (the "Silver Coin" galaxy) is 10 million light years from earth and is estimated to be 70,000 LY across, comparable to the Milky Way. In the corner is the globular cluster NGC 288.

  • M5

    M5

At 13 billion years of age, M5 is believed to be one of the oldest globular clusters in our galaxy (over twice the age of our Solar System). Located 24,500 light years from Earth, it is home to more than 100,000 stars, with some estimates saying it has as many as 500,000.

    M24, Sagittaruis Star Cloud

Messier 24 (M24), also known as the Sagittarius Star Cloud, is a large Milky Way star cloud in Sagittarius constellation. The Sagittarius Star Cloud lies at an approximate distance of 10,000 light years from Earth. Messier 24 is about 600 light years wide and lies in the Sagittarius Arm of our galaxy, the next inner spiral arm to our own. It contains different types of objects, including stars and clusters that lie at a distance of 10,000 to 16,000 light years from Earth.

    The Wild Duck Cluster (M11)

The Wild Duck Cluster (also known as Messier 11, or NGC 6705) is an open cluster of stars in the constellation Scutum (the Shield). The Wild Duck Cluster is one of the richest, most massive and most compact of the known open clusters. Its age has been estimated to about 316 million years. The core radius is 4 light years (38.4 trillion km) wide.
